If you think your walls are plain and boring, but you do not feel like spending money for a complete re-paint, then the best thing you can do is to do some decorative painting on your walls to give them a little personality. Not only is wall décor a great way of getting a quick change, it is a good way to increase the colors in your home, and to set a unique style statement that wont fail to impress anyone who sees it.
Sometimes, the tiniest of details make very visible differences and all you need are some of these ideas and a little bur of creativity.

Wall paper cut outs
Printed wall papers look great on plain walls, but you don’t have to cover your entire wall with wall paper: that would require you to put too much wall paper. What you can do instead is buy printed wall paper, or shiny wall paper and cut them out into any shape you like and put them on your walls in a design.
For example, you could cut glow in the dark wall paper into shapes of stars and put them on your ceiling. The obvious place to do this is the bedroom, but you may also do it in the living room so watching late night movies becomes more exciting! If you intend to decorate a girl’s room, you could get floral wallpaper and cut it in the shape of  hearts or flowers or plain squares and put them in random places on the central wall of the kid’s room to make the room look like a room all girls want.

Cover your walls with a large sheet of fabric
This is one of the easiest ways to give your walls a makeover and it gets done really fast. Get a large piece of cloth and cover a part of your wall with it. The best part is that it can be removed really quickly if you get bored of it.

Metallic stencils on your walls
Experiment drawing stencils on your wall with a metallic paint or marker. Not only will it make your wall look unique, it looks more complicated than it actually is, which just makes your wall look more impressive.

Decorating your walls with paint
Wall paint is one of the most popular and the most common ways to decorate walls and if you are also considering decorating your walls with paint, here are some ideas of the things you can do:

• Stripes: Not only do stripes look great, they can also make a room look larger (vertically or horizontally). Painting stripes on the room walls is a way to make the room appear more spacious. You can choose a dark color and a light color, two colors that contrast, or two shades of the same color – the choice, as always, is yours.
Abstract designs: You can let your creativity flow (on the walls) and create designs that are a piece of art
• Textured Paint: Textured paint on your walls can make your room look classier and give it an aura of sophistication.

The condition of house walls says a lot about the people living in it and wall décor is a great way to personalize your space.
